Hospital Support Program

Chairperson: Alexa Vasquez

The Notre Dame Club of Phoenix participates in the Notre Dame Hospital Support Program.  A national initiative of the Notre Dame Senior Alumni, this program is intended to assist members of the Notre Dame Family when hospitalized while away from home, whether planned in advance or the result of a accident or illness while traveling.

The Alumni Association has established a toll-free number for members of the Notre Dame family who are hospitalized and out of their home area.  The Program then contacts the Club to arrange for local support.  Support may include spending time with the patient and family, running simple errands, arranging for a visit by a priest, or introducing family members to places of local interest.

Because of the geographic size of the area, the Club is seeking to establish a wide group of individuals who would be willing to assist should the need arise.  As previously mentioned, support services are limited to simple tasks and can be spread out between volunteers, as not to overburden any one volunteer or group of volunteers.

If you would like to be involved, please contact our Chairperson, Alexa Vasquez at hospital@ndclubofphoenix.com.  You can also download the NDSA's program guide in PDF format.
