Welcome to the Notre Dame
Club of Phoenix!

The Notre Dame Club of Phoenix is the home for over 4000 alumni, current students, family and friends of the University of Notre Dame from the Phoenix Metropolitan area as well as Northern and Central Arizona.

We strive to bring the spirit of Notre Dame to the Valley of the Sun and the rest of Arizona, as well into our day to day lives, hence our unofficial motto:

"Bringing the Dome to the Desert."

The Club performs several main functions: facilitating Communication with our members, supporting our Current Students, fostering Cameraderie of our members, nurturing the Catholic Spirituality of the membership, performing Community Service, as well as providing Continuing Education.

Whether you're a graduate, current or former student, parent of a current or former student, faculty member, or a friend or fan of the University, we encourage you to become an active member of the Club!  If you're a recent arrival to the Valley, be sure to update your contact information with myNotreDame to ensure you receive Club mailings and e-mails!

Young Alumni Update

The last year for the Young Alumni has been a busy one, between happy hours, football season, and our first annual beer tasting among other things. For those who missed it, in February, we had a beer tasting at local nano-brewery O.H.S.O. We were able to sample some of their current beers on tap as well as enjoy a great description of each one. Attendees got to see firsthand what goes into the brewing of beer. The club had a special treat this year at our men’s NCAA sweet sixteen and elite eight gamewatches (always held at Rockbar, friends to all Irish alumni, friends, and family)when we had Louis Nix and Stephon Tuitt join to support our Men’s basketball team.

Starting this year, 2016, we are looking to make some changes. We would love to see more people out and active. We are looking to make a switch from monthly to quarterly happy hours and focusing on getting a couple of signature Phoenix Young Alumni events set in place. I would love feedback and suggestions for possible events and happy hour locations, after all, this group is all about the YA’s (and young at heart) of the valley. Please feel free to reach out to me at aborreg2@alumni.nd.edu or youngalumni@ndclubofphoenix.com.

Feeney/Winthrop Benefit Challenge

 Feeney/Wintrhop Benefit Challenge -  May 31

St. Joseph the Worker, during their annual Feeney/Winthrop Benefit Concert received a pledge of up to $25,000 from APS to match individual donations made to SJW before May 31st in honor of Matt Feeney.

St. Joseph the Worker’s objective is to help remove barriers by providing the resources necessary to gain and maintain employment. They offer their clients a hand up, not a hand out—building on their strengths and helping to reduce or eliminate any barriers to employment.

So, who is Matt Feeney?  Matt is a Double Domer having received both his bachelors and law degrees from Notre Dame.  Currently, he is the Chairman of Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix where he practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, SEC reporting and compliance, and corporate governance matters, including advising corporate boards and board committees.  Matt’s passion for SJW is apparent as he was a founding board member of SJW in 1988.

Please visit https://sjwjobs.org to learn more about St. Joseph the Worker.  Donations are accepted online or through the mail.
