About Our Club

"Bringing the Dome to the Desert"

The Notre Dame Club of Phoenix is a volunteer-run, local chapter of the Notre Dame Alumni Association serving the Phoenix metropolitan area as well as central and northern Arizona.  Serving alumni, current students and their parents, as well as friends of the University, the Notre Dame Club of Phoenix serves as the University's ambassador to the Valley of the Sun.

The purpose of the Club is to promote solidarity and friendship among grauates,  former students and friends of the University of Notre Dame by encouraging the perpetuation of the same ideals which Notre Dame men and women have been taught to uphold while students at the University.

The Club raises money for student scholarships, supports several charitable organizations, organizes a variety of social events, supports Irish athletic teams when they play in the area, holds Club masses, sponsors continuing education seminars, and helps inform prospective students about the University.

The Club is run by the Officers and Board of Directors and is organized into several committees known as the "6 Cs:"  Camaraderie, Catholic Spirituality, Communications, Community ServiceContinuing Education and Current Students.  A seventh committee, Career Networking, has recently formed.  Additionally, the Club also has events geared toward Young Alumni, Senior Alumni and the West Valley.

Hands & Hope for Haiti
This fall, ND alumni and current students will join together to collect 25,000 pounds of clothing for the people of Haiti. The Hands & Hope for Haiti clothing drive will take place on campus from Oct. 4 until the ND-Pittsburgh football game (Nov. 1).

There will be a friendly competition between alumni and current students to see which group can collect the most clothing. The type of clothing that is needed is good quality spring and summer clothing, as well as very gently used footwear. (Please note: winter clothing, as well as clothing in extra large sizes, will not be usable to the people of Haiti, therefore we ask that these be excluded from your contributions.)

Please help the people of Haiti by bringing clothing to the game watches in order to be donated. We hope to join together with other alumni in order to collect more clothing than the students, but more importantly, we would like to be able to provide support and resources to those in need. Thanks for your help!
